I worked for four years as a journalist: One year as the managing editor of a group of newspapers in Los Angeles, two years as a staff writer for The Oakland Tribune company and one year as a freelance writer for numerous publications, including The Oakland Tribune. In addition to teaching grammar and composition, I edit corporate newsletters, master’s theses, and fiction and nonfiction books.
